… between pain and hope – a month from the earthquakes in Venezuela
A month ago, the earthquakes changes thousands of lives in Venezuela. Over 5000 people died, many remain missing, many families lost everything.
… our thoughts and prayers, our hearts, are with every family that lost a loved one, with those that continue to seek answers, with those that face the nearly impossible task of rebuilding their lives ... sometimes far away from what was home.
We support them in their pain and affirm our commitment to continue helping them along the way

this month, with your support ...
- We distributed 18,880 prepared meals to rescue groups, health centers, nursing homes, families, refuges.
- We supported first responders: Transport; equipment (helmets, stretcher, ropes, gloves); food, drinks, hygiene supplies - Bomberos UCV, Angeles de las Vías, Protección Civil Mérida, Rescatistas de Mallorca, Rescatistas voluntarios de La Guaira, Personal de Salud.
- We provided + 350 families in affected communities with food packages, hygiene kits, blankets, safe water, medicines, menstrual hygiene kits.
- We supported health centers with medicines, medical supplies and food - JM de Los Ríos, Centro Médico Docente La Trinidad, Hospital Universitario, Hospital de Los Teques, Hospital Universitario ULA Mérida.
- We evaluated and treated 180 children suffering from or at risk of malnutrition.
- We supported 470 people in refuges, encampments, canteens/soup kitchens. Delivery of food and hygiene supplies. Support with medicines to a center for children with microcephaly and cerebral palsy. Support for community canteens in Maiquetía.
- We provided medical and nutritional treatment through Mobile Clinics in the affected communities - 450 consults.
- We provided support to 47 displaced people in other areas.
- We bought water tanks to instal in La Guaira for rescue teams, refuge kitchens and families in the area, benefiting 1200 people.
